One of the things for which Doctor Who fans should be forever thankful for is that, despite some institutional shakiness about 35 years ago, it is also a place that has, and venerates, its own history, and Doctor Who is a not-insignificant part of that collective memory.
In a move that posed as a direct hit for a website dedicated to Doctor Who history, images of companion re-pairings for some of the upcoming shoulder-programming for the 60th Anniversary have been released, and they’re simply wonderful.
10 years ago as part of the run-up to the 50th the wholly unexpected drop of The Night of the Doctor healed a continuity gap as well the pleasure of seeing Paul McGann back in harness. These photos, taken as part of ‘Tales of the TARDIS,’ are another jolt of joy.
