It has been far too long, nearly seven months we reckon, since the Tour’s last foray into the ramshackle realm of finding Doctor Who people in the most unexpected of places.
The series ‘Public Eye,’ although it ran for ten years between 1965 and 1975, actually had two lives and went through various format changes but centered on Alfred Burke as Cynical, dour and world-weary, private eye Frank Marker. In the September1971 episode, ‘The Man Who Didn’t Eat Sweets’ appeared one Colin Baker as an unnamed Town Hall Clerk.
Not quite a cameo, but still just one scene. And it’s very, very early Baker. Fame, and all it’s variations, would follow.,
We’ll pick up the practice of finding Doctor Who stars in the most unexpected places after Series 15 finishes.
